FREE

God created mankind, and made them free
To do what they want and be who they want to be
There was only one rule they had to keep
"There's a fruit in the middle that you shall not eat"
Eve knew everything God had to say
She was free to do right, or free to disobey
Adam also knew, what he was meant to do
But in his freedom he was free to make the wrong choice too
He chose to stand with Eve, and let her sin in his sight
He didn't stand for God and do what's right.

This is where the slavery of man would begin
This is the time mankind became the slaves of Sin
Then God said "Now is not the time for pardon,
I have a plan, but for now you have to leave the garden"
So now we move around the world, in shame and disgrace
God's too good for us to share in his holy space
Just imagine if you tried to live on the sun
You'd be a memory, long before your journey was done
This doesn't mean the son's against you, he was never your foe
It simply means you can't handle, the truth in the glow.

Because God is God and God is good
He had a plan planned out in a cross of wood
He made a way for us, to finally be
the way we once were when we once were free.
We gave away our freedom when we took on sin
We became of the lost and gave sin the win
In order to be free and God approved
We needed to be restored and have the sin removed
But the sin was Deep and well ingrained
It ran all the way through, we were deeply stained
Like trying to uncook a loaf of bread
Simply taking out the sin would leave us dead.

But God knew how sin could be counteracted
He knew what to do so it could be extracted
He knew what to do so we could exist
In the fullness of his glory in his awesomeness
A Savior would come, and set us free
And show us what humans, could really be.
Sin was allowed to take the life of the one sin free
human being in the whole of man's history
But He chose to give it up for the sake of his wife
He conquered sin and death and took back His life

Now we have the right, to walk in the light
To shine bright and be free, fully in God's sight
We still have the free choice to sin if we choose
But we're heirs now, so we choose to refuse.
Our Big Brother came to show us how it should be done
And who better to show us than God's own son.
Christ's death and Resurrection is the gift that's free
That sets us free from sin, so watch the enemy flee
Because of Christ, sacrificed, I can say I'm FREE.
FORGIVEN REJOICING EXPECTING ETERNITY.

Free Thinker

Dear Lord, I lift my eye, to the Sky
I know you care for me, but I wonder why.
You are everlasting, I'm just passing by
I'm born, I live a little, and then I die.
What is it that I do, to justify
you thinking of me, please testify.

Use the time between when you're born and when you die,
to seek God and ask for help to understand your why.
Tend to your life like a garden and plant good seeds.
Feed what needs to be fed and uproot the weeds.
Take the time to kill an argument with love and grace.
Make the time to heal a rift and put a smile on a face.
Tear down the things that harm us and destroy our souls.
Build bridges with each other to achieve our goals.
Sometimes things will just affect you, take the time to weep.
Also laugh at yourself and don't go too deep.
Before it's time to mourn, while you have the chance,
if you have a spouse, ask them if they'd like to dance.
Share what you have with many people, the way you scatter stones,
then when it's time to gather them they'll bring a warmth to your bones.
Embrace every issue you're currently facing.
Take the chance with every issue you refrain from embracing.
Search for what to give up, what you need to stay,
what it is you need to keep and what you have to throw away
When you have to shed a tear take the time to mend,
take your time and be silent then go and speak to a friend
Love your neighbour as yourself, make your ego wait.
The things the Lord hates are the things to hate.
Bring the war to the enemy as you increase.
Bring your heart to the Father, He will give you peace.

They look to the future
future things seem so clear
clear now things are different
different future is here

Ok, tell me something please, did something die?
What's the reason, a tear is forming in my eye?
Somebody help me please, am I the only one?
It smells like cabbage left to rot, in the midday sun.

That thing smells so thick, it's got a physical weight
That person must be sick, their bowels must be a state.
I have to value every breath, taking care not to waste it
It really smells like death, I'm taking care not to taste it.

Come on now, I think your innards need some time to heal
It was silent, but so violent it's actual terror I feel.
Someone needs to check if there's a chemical spill.
Is it safe to venture out or do we Shoot to Kill

Tell my family I love them if I don't pull through
When they ask how it happened just say "toxic poo"
Look up to the sky, say "why God why,
did you choose such a stench, for a guy to die?"

Now my mind is all cloudy, I can't see straight.
Somebody's dodgy inner workings, have sealed my fate.
Is it a human or an animal? I just can't tell
But can someone please tell me? What is that smell?

I'll take on the challenge
Challenge everyone here
Here I go boldly
Boldly fighting the fear

Sometimes life hits you, and hits you hard
Sometimes it really is a trauma, that leaves you scarred

Once in a while you feel the pressure like you're fit to bust
Once in a while your hopes and dreams feel like nothing but Dust

On occasion, you wonder if all hope is lost
On occasion, you look at life and count the cost

Now and then you ask yourself how you're going to cope
Now and then you take a breath and start to feel some hope

Repeatedly you question, your powers that be
Repeatedly you ask "when will I be free?"

On a regular basis, you feel nothing but strain
On a regular basis, you just roll with the pain

Periodically you feel a bit of strength to fight
Periodically solutions, come into sight

Usually you grit your teeth and just keep going
Usually you keep a face of bravery showing

Often you're ready for the struggle, you keep yourself braced
Often reminded of the trouble, and problems you've faced

Constantly dig deep, and refuse to hide
Constantly call on Who, you have inside.

The truth on my mind
what I very often find
is life is a bind

Somebody's dodgy inner workings, have sealed my fate.
Is it a human or an animal? I just can't tell
But can someone please tell me? What is that smell?

Green, filled with power
Power fuelled by rage
rage brings out the green
green so hard to cage
